Meda Militaria - This SS Chain Dagger has had some restoration done in the past and before we acquired it. Hence the method presented in the sacrifice. In light of this, it is a worthy example of the highly desirable 3
Good grip is the start of this fairly early Type C SS Chain Dagger. The wood remains in excellent condition, revealing no repairs or major issues, and has a textbook outline and profile to match its shape. A beautiful face-down nickel silver eagle was worked flat, uniform, and flush with the tree in the center of the reverse. The same goes for the SS runes at the top of the handle. The fantastic silvering of the borders and the symbols of the lighting bolts, in addition to the background of the runes, remain in all black enamel. With a vintage that was probably produced in 1937, these early coated crossguards have held up quite decently over time. There is some light peeling on the crossguard/tree grip plane, but not too bad. Good looking grip and grip assembly on the M36.

No two ways about it, this dagger's thin shell has been repainted at some point. Although it has never been recently. The job isn't too bad and actually looks a lot like what you'd expect back then. All 3 scabbard fittings are in good condition and fit tight and fit the shell. The chainset is beautiful, built from heavy forged links with matching connectors. All have excellent detail, with the exception of one skull cross which has some surface wear on the top span. The second passage in the upper span is shown in one of the photographs stamped with the evidence mark of the SS runes culture. The Wotan pack is securely in place with a clip that works well. As is often noted on Type Cs, the patent-pending initials DRGM are stamped into the upper loop of the cloverleaf design. A D-ring belt loop is included with the assembly and shown on the clip.

Finally, the knife. It stays at full length, without any sharpening or bending. Upon inspection, it appears that this blade had a pit on its surface at one point and was subsequently polished. Doing this gave it a more reflective look than is usually seen with these blades. Plus, the slogan was further improved to bring back the glow effect in Meine Ehre Heist Treue, etc. It's just something we run into from time to time as collectors. In addition, some restoration work was even carried out by a returning vet who brought the relics home. What's done is done, and that's basically it. This dagger will still look good. Especially for half the price of a mint sample. Question: Why is it so hard to find a high end SS dagger for sale? Answer: Because most of them are in collections. It is true that there are very few high-quality SS daggers for sale, even at major show venues. They are simply not part of the dealer's inventory. Sometimes we see them when the collection is sold, but that's about it. In this offer, the E. package is quite decent. Moreover, the 33 is quite a few producers compared to other early adopter firms. Look.
A decent grip is so hard to find on any SS dagger. Prone to splitting, splitting, chipping, and chipping, these fragile handles are quite fragile to say the least. But the one on the M33 is beautiful! With the exception of a small print mark on the back and a micro hairline above the SS runes, this grip is as perfect as you'll find on any SS dagger. In fact, it rivals anything in my personal collection. The high neck nickel silver eagle and SS runes button is the best. With no heat, stains or scratches, they put the arm in the way collectors want to see it. Both the upper and lower crossguards are muted matte nickel with a pristine patina that remains intact. The fittings have nice smooth surfaces on both front and back, with the Roman numeral I stamped on the lower reverse. Fantastic grip, emblems and handle assembly on this Pac SS dagger.
The shock is absolutely killer! It stays flat, no warping, heat, dog legs, stuff or anything else. The perfect blue anodized finish is as good as you'll see, rating 99%. Plus it still has 40% of the original factory protective varnish attached to the shell. This is something unheard of in any of the early shades. Both upper and lower fittings are in good condition, then there is a very small touch on the back. 4 factory screws hold the fittings properly and firmly in place. Finally, something that was never issued on one of the scabbards, an early snub-nosed SS sling. The bill is in excellent condition and is valued at over $300. That is, if you can find such a beautiful account. The nickel silver clip is unmarked, as is true for this dagger vintage. Absolutely beautiful spreader and hanger for the M33.
This brings us to the knife. Well, look at the pictures and write your own description. On the other hand, a bit of untouched water is basically it. The rest are great.
